Crossbones Graveyard

Crossbones Graveyard, Red Cross Way, Southwark

Cross Bones is a post-medieval disused burial ground. It is believed

 to have been established originally as an unconsecrated graveyard

 for "single women,"  a euphemism for prostitutes, known locally as

"Winchester Geese,"

Brompton Cemetery

                   This large West London cemetery is a very interesting place and has the final

                   resting places of many famous people. It is a fascinating place for photography,

                   It is a very different place as the seasons change. It is a quiet oasis situated

                   between Earls Court exhibition centre and Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea

                   Football Club.

Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde

                                     This is one of the last three aircraft making their final

landings at London Heathrow airport on 24 October

        2003. All landed on the Northern runway 27R. The photo

                                     is of the second in the landing sequence, G-BOAG,

                                     landing after a final trip to New York and back.

Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2008

Since the year 2000 London's Serpentine Gallery has

been home to a series of temporary summer pavilions.

These are designed by the world's most celebrated architects.

Himalaya 1981/2

The Everest massif as seen from Tengboche Monastery

                   These black and white pictures were taken with Rollei compact camera on

                   Ilford FP4 film which I processed at home after the five week trek. I trekked

                   from the foothills up to the summit of Kala Patthar at 5,545 m (18,192 ft).

                   This gave close views of Everest, Khumbu Glacier and base camp area. We

                   flew back to Kathmandu city from Lukla airstrip situated at 2,860 metres (9,383 ft),

This picture was taken at the London Wetland Centre.  It shows part of a sculpture exhibition where the sculptures have been constructed from recycled materials.
